We built TransformED.com to foster important conversations about education in Eastern Iowa, which makes this site a bit unusual. It’s here because we hope you’ll use it to talk amongst yourselves.

The current version of the site handles news and discussion topics through a standard blog format, with a comments feature that we’ve designed to make it easy for you to discuss education topics, share videos and links, etc.

If you want to say or share something in response to someone else’s post, register or login and discuss it.

If you’d like to start a discussion or propose a new idea, start in the top right-hand column with the “Say Something” box. Don’t worry about formatting or coding or where your item should go. We’ll take care of the details behind the scenes and get it to the right place.

The most valuable things we collect are ideas for transforming education, and if you send us one of those, we’ll give it special treatment. You can read other ideas on our “Issues” page.

Our calendar is designed so that you can see what we’re doing, but also so that you can follow our events in your personal Google calendar, or just save a single event to your online calendar.

Standard registration for the site is through SourceMedia Group, but if you prefer you can sign-in through Facebook in the right-hand column. Speaking of social media, we hope you’ll connect with us via Facebook and Twitter, and sign up for our email newsletter.
